As the bone cartilage damages, it leads to a condition where bone meets against bone in the absence of its natural cushion (the bone cartilage) and apparently this leads to the damage of your bone.

Osteoarthritis can be avoided, cured and or treated if the DO’s and DON’Ts are taken care properly:

DO’s

  • Exercise regularly. Those suffering from osteoarthritis must consult the doctor before straining the knee
  • Yoga can work wonders. Postures like the padmasana and virbhadraasana help in an increased blood flow in the knees and relax the muscles.
  • Include citrus fruits in your diet. They strengthen the cartilage.
  • Consult your nearest bone specialist in case of persistent pain
  • DON’Ts

  • Ignoring pain as this can lead to serious damage
  • Use a crepe bandage and ointments without the knowledge of a doctor
  • Pop painkillers as this can pose a danger to other organs.
  • Avoid surgery when advised by the doctor or go for surgery when it is considered unnecessary.
  • Lead a healthy life by taking care of your health everyday and be aware about your health conditions.
