Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) 2011 declared today (25 May 2011) at 8 AM. About a number of 4 lakh candidates have appeared for this exam in 1,051 centers across the country on April 11, 2011.
Approximately about 4.85 lakh students would be vying for the 9,600 coveted seats in 15 IITs in India which means there would be at least 50 candidates competing for one seat, on an average.

The IIT JEE Results can be viewed in detail on the above IIT Offical Website. To increase transparency, scanned images of students’ optical response sheets (answer scripts) will also be put up on the JEE website after May 25. “The maths paper had been particularly tough. It would be good to see our papers and check them for errors. I come from a family of IITians, and I hope I crack the exam,” said Preeti Saxena, a student who took the exam.
