It is mentioned that the eligibility is only for those who have appeared for the common written exam conducted by IBPS. Further details are given below –

Name of the Post:  Probationary Officer (Scale I)

Number of Posts: 2473 Vacancies

Mode of Application:  Online application process from December 30, 2011 to January 14, 2012

Eligibility: Applicants should go through the conditions thoroughly specified for Union Bank of India PO Recruitment 2012 to avoid any rejection of your application.

Age limit: As on July 01, 2011 the age has to be between 21 to 30 years

Educational Qualification: Any degree with 55% marks aggregate as on 01.07.2011 (if you are waiting for your degree, you can still with provisional)

Preference: Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance holders will be preferred but NOT mandatory.

Interview Call: Applicants with IBPS scorecards can only apply for this job and based on total weight of marks (high to low) candidates will be then shortlisted & called for a personal interview in the ratio of 1:3 for General category  & 1:5 for Others.

This will not be like earlier banking recruitments as this selection will only have personal interviews. However, the bank says that the procedure might change based on the number of applicants for the post.

Selection: The total for interview process has been fixed as 50 marks & 25 marks as the qualifying criteria.

The final selection is made by taking into the exam & interview score followed by ranking according to categories.

Applications: Fee of Rs. 200 (Gen/OBC) & Rs. 50 (others) must be paid in cash at any branch of Union Bank of India with the payment challan.

On receiving the receipt, go to the unionbankindia.co.in and click the online application. Enter the required details & submit it on or before 14.01.2012.

Make sure to print the completed application form, as it has to be produced during the interview.
